Now that
I’ve actually used those words (once upon a time) I have to confess that they
don’t seem so stupid and traditional after all. Actually I kind of like them.
They have a certain ring. They conjure, like a spell.
And I
suppose the fact I’m not the first to use them doesn’t automatically make
unoriginal. Isn’t it the words that follow once upon a time that make a story
truly come alive.
